Our Story
Bristrot Chez Nous began with a dream. After taking over an existing restaurant location in East Rockaway, the owner transformed the space with a new name, a new vision, and a desire to share the flavors of her Haitian culture.
She chose the name “Bristrot Chez Nous.” “Chez Nous” reflects the spirit of “Lakay Nou” — “Our Home” — a place where guests can gather, enjoy good food, and feel welcomed like family.
Having always dreamed of owning her own restaurant, she transformed the location into Bristrot Chez Nous to share authentic Haitian cuisine and introduce the local community to the rich flavors of Haiti and the Caribbean.
More than a restaurant, Bristrot Chez Nous is a place to come together, discover new flavors, and experience warm Haitian hospitality.
