Our Story
Bristrot Chez Nous began with a dream. The current Haitian owner took over an existing restaurant location in East Rockaway and transformed the space with a new name, a new vision, and a desire to share the flavors of her culture.
She chose the name “Bristrot Chez Nous.” “Chez Nous” means “Lakay Nou” — “Our Home” in Haitian Creole, reflecting her vision of creating a warm and welcoming place where guests can gather, enjoy good food, and feel at home.
